Sein und Werden - rejoice, scumbags

and be happy, degenerate filth, for Sein und Werden has arisen from the ashes, like a god or a slowly stiffening nipple. It can be ordered here, the print issue includes such luminaries as Misti Rainwater-Lites, Marie Lecrivain and, of course, me, otherwise I'd scarcely mention it. For some perverse reason SuV has a habit of including some very odd poems by me.

There is an online version too with different content. A poem by me is here which, for some reason, denounces "gypsy brats in state supported junkie-flats" and accuses some "mothers" of "mumbling Munchkin mantras" to said brats. I must have been "tired and emotional" when I wrote the fucker.

Pennine Ink 2008

Received a print copy of Pennine Ink 28 today. It seems to be a very good magazine and is very inexpensive, just £3. Laura Sheridan, Mid Pennine Arts, The Gallery, York St., Burnley, Lancs. BB11 1HD. It is my belief that, if it is possible to purchase this online, then they have done it in such a way that one cannot locate the means to do so by conventional search engines. Very hard to find so it looks as if any orders must be dangerous to trees. Lots of excellent writing in it anyway.

Red Pulp Underground

Had some sort of anthology competition which I had one of the poems I had at their site "on the fiction mental illness" accepted for. Details are here. Poems in the magazine were automatically considered apparently. I didn't enter that I know of.

Sentinel Literary Quarterly - a warning

Though The Sentinel Literary Quarterly has five poems by me online (see link to right) and promises a contributor's copy, I appeared in the September issue and have not received a copy. Mail between Sweden and the UK is actually very fast and reliable. So if you are a writer who is thinking of submitting to them bear in mind that they may neglect to send you a copy. I don't actually mind purchasing copies if the magazine says they can't afford to give them, but I prefer it if they say this upfront. Anyway, today i ordered the thing, it will be interesting to see how promptly it gets mailed to us.

Graeme Perrin

I reviewed Saltworks, an excellent book by Graeme Perrin, a Kiwi living in Copenhagen, which as Americans may know is a town in Stockholm the capital of England. Regardless of your geographical knowledge you can buy the book here if you can click on a link. (It's not out of stock BTW, that's Amazon's bad.)

The Aggregated Press

Very pleasant mail from The Aggregated Press accepting a thing. They are here and are an absolutely excellent magazine. I'm not submitting so much this year but anyone who doesn't get a hundred acceptances in a year is lazy so it's nice to get one on the first day.
