Shakespeare's Monkeys

I just received five copies of the new Shakespeare's Monkeys Review. There's a poem by me about Sylvia Plath, which makes about twenty about the damn woman, about half of which are published, irritatingly enough. And there's one by Misti Rainwater Lites which is damn excellent, as always. Featured writer is David Hirt, who is excellent too, though his religious views are not mine, one can safely say.

It is on sale here. I think you should buy it, hypothetical and presumably counterfactual reader. Now I have to give away a few copies.

Also told there will be one very short, and, I think, very quite OK, poem by me in Right Hand Pointing in about a week, their cool magazine, devoted to shorter poems, is here. After ordering you to spend money, I graciously point a link to a free read, and one, at present, not even containing stuff by me.

Brutarian

Received my copy of Brutarian 51 today, as promised, plus check, quite fast thanks to the US mail and Sweden's post office. It's an excellent magazine, and you should buy it. It can be ordered here. They even have a review of The Pretty Things. I listen to them, they were a good band, and I have a memory like a fucking elephant. They have reviews of pretty obscure films too, that you will want to see, having read about them.

Origami Condom

Just heard that one thing called "and when my fingers" will be in the next issue of Origami Condom, which I believe is number eight, apart from the one there in issue seven. Their issues are here.

I can now edit this to say that evolving issue eight is already up here.

Brutarian

There's a new issue of Brutarian out, issue 51, with some appropriately odd poems by me in it. It can be ordered from Atomicbooks.com who are here. They have had many great film-makers and music figures in that mag, none of whom has ever been crap, at least not unless it was on purpose. And they pay well too, even for poems, which is bloody unusual.

And here's a submissions thing which is probably hopelessly out of date.

Gloom Cupboard

In a couple of issues a poem that I wrote sort of inspired by that smooth-talking bastard Lacan will be in Gloom Cupboard. Till then you can read their current issue, number 30 just now, which is here.

Gloom Cupboard

I just received a copy of Gloom Cupboard's 2nd Print issue. It includes an excellent poem by Rob Plath, who agrees with me about the light, another lovely one from Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal, which handles the uncontrolled emptiness of our endings excellently, and, to my delight, a marvelous piece from Pablo Vision, which is so good that you can forgive him for mentioning soccer in it. Lots of other stuff too. Such as a good one by Karl Koweski who is cynical in an always entertaining manner.

It can be ordered here.

Big Pulp

There's a new poem up by me at Big Pulp here. It's quite alright I think. The magazine it's in is really good too.

Some books

Here's a free electronic chapbook by me at Why Vandalism?. It is here and called "poems against Enlightenment"

There's a print chapbook called "a hunger for mourning" at Erbacce Press. That can be ordered here.

Then there's a full length book forthcoming from Whistling Shade press who are here. It should be available within very few weeks, I hope.

On the subject of books, I was disgusted to see some person has written a book of "inspirational Christian poetry" and he has my name, same spelling and everything. Weird since there is absolutely no other information on this person at all. I'd just like to say that that has nothing to do with me whatsoever.

I see that today poetry repairs have another poem up by me, it's here. Otherwise it's an excellent magazine, the other stuff well-worth reading.

The Maynard

There's one poem by me in a webzine called the Maynard. Their contents page is here. Seems to be a very good zine.

Awen 51

There's a new issue of Awen from Atlantean Publishing. It can be ordered here for a tiny sum and I received a copy today. It has one of my better poems, "panic is catharsis," and, among many others with good stuff, a poem by Dylan Garcia-Wahl. Get a copy today for an SSAE or an irc.

Target Audience Magazine

Target Audience Magazine for Winter 2008 is up now here. Apart from one poem by me there is a lot of other poetry and some excellent articles. Including one which really shafts the scientologists.

Good for the writer, these people are almost more insane than the christians. i was employed by a scientologist in Brixton, he once called me into his office and started mumbling about me buying him something if he gave me the cash. I was about to demand a couple of lines for myself as well as cash when it turned out he wanted throat spray. He didn't dare buy it himself because another lawyer there was a scientologist and those fuckers aren't allowed to be ill. As Stan says, "That's really fucked up."

Static Movement

The new April issue of Static Movement is up and there's a James Joyce/Syd Barrett tribute thing by me here. And another one here.

Poetry Cemetery

Nice, the April issue of Poetry Cemetery is up. They are here and five poems by me are here.

Plus I just received the pdf of the layout for my first book. Very pleased. 90 pages. Lauren did an excellent job today, I must say. It is due out rather soon, I do believe, which is very cool too.

Also, today, I am so fucking old.
