Jennifer S. Chesler has chosen to release her anthology Fragments through Nickel Hole Press. Mainstream publishing is too restricted in its interests, so after eighteen years with a POS agent, famous for failure & whoring shitty genre fiction, this august publisher, of storied antiquity, is the obvious choice. The agent had completely fucked the book up, not being very intellectual, and shortened it from 200 pages to about 79, which he proposed to submit to a crappy comic book publisher, until told to fuck off by Jennifer, who hulked out at the prospect of such retardation. My version is 247 pp since I chose to add stuff from blog posts & old mss.
The book is a collection of pieces that explore
such topics as dog sex in the Phoenix area, the stupidity of the
average American, & the author's mental illness & poverty, both
through circumstance & by psychogenesis at the hostile hands of her
family. It's forthcoming from Barnes & Noble & inferior online
retailers, but is at present on sale from Lulu at this link.
This book is highly recommended.
